| Disclaimer: The contents of this article are solely my views and opinions, hence the first word in the title being "opinion". I will state what I "know" or experienced and mention when something is less well known rather than starting each sentence with "I believe...". I do not claim to know anything of God or similar concepts as I believe that to be beyond my comprehension. For those who consider themselves angels, but lacking guidance, I ask that this article not be read. Guidance comes from within, and anything I say will only muddy the waters of self-discovery and take away the joy of discovering oneself. | No Image Available |

Now,
to begin, I must mention that information on angels is not very prevalent.
There are certainly websites and testimonies, but I do not wish to use
those as resources aside from noting that so-and-so idea exists
regarding angels. As will be described further down, they are not very
revealing by their nature and due to the lack of need for such. Angels, Devas, or whatever one may call them appear to various people across various religions. They exist in texts and prophecies, being considered messengers of God and/or deities. They seem to have no particular gender, though are able to exhibit masculine or feminine qualities either out of preference themselves, or for a task they have been entrusted to. Angels are frequently tasked with helping humans; an individual, a group, or the race as whole. They may be perceived by the human(s) however the angel wishes. Though for accomplishing a task one form may be more effective than another. A clear persuasive voice may be used for guidance, a bright shining light may be used for awe, a winged humanoid may be the chosen form if that is what the human(s) believe an angel looks like, thus the people will know that they are in the presence of one. Flexibility is key, and while certain angels are capable of performing multiple tasks some are more specialized; be it out of preference or out of necessity (not necessarily the necessity of the angel). Not all angels are capable of a particular task equally. Generally speaking, some angels may be exceptionally good at seeing that a task is done with the utmost precision and attention to detail. Others may feel a stronger sense of empathy towards humans and have just the right sense of love for people that they would be perfect for comforting those in need. Another sort may have the patience and desire to incorporate themselves into the natural flow of things on Earth and influence it by tiny increments (more on that further down). There may also be a group of angels that see to it that certain set rules are kept, acting as watchers over humans, other angels, or both, and correcting anything amiss. Angels are made up a different material than that found in the physical world or in the ether. It is not Chi (unless that has a VERY broad definition) and cannot be shaped by human hands. An interesting feature of this material is that it passes through both physical and ethereal bodies without any noticeable disturbance, unless desired otherwise by the angel. As a result angels are capable of being present without being seen, felt, heard, or otherwise sensed. Their existence is not restricted by concepts of time and space, though having that restriction willingly may serve a purpose for any particular angel. The resulting methods of existing (without time/space) isn't one to be explained in this article purely due to too little information in that regard. Angels are neither omniscient nor omnipresent, but their consciousness is capable of multitasking and focusing on multiple things at the same time. This permits them to do multiple smaller jobs, or communicate effortlessly while doing a job, but it is generally preferred to have full focus on an important job requiring the angel's presence. Regarding communication, it is the impression that angels are capable of communicating between each other as a natural thing, but this has not been verified by the author to a satisfactory degree. As a result, clarity is lacking on this concept. What has been made clear is that angels, or at least certain individuals, have access to a reservoir of information of the minutest detail. From this they have a superior understanding of the operation of concepts that we perceive as reality; 'That which is'. There is also reason to believe angels have their own individual memories and knowledge, but that itself is enigmatic. They possess a free will. They may choose to do what they wish, as long as it does not break a set rule and they are willing to accept the consequences of their actions. As personal interests go, simply observing existence or exploring 'that which is' may be sufficient for some. It is not unknown for an angel to interfere without being asked to, but the situations investigated did not have positive results because the actions destabilized the pre-existing balance. Although free will is present angels typically have a purpose based on strengths and aptitude in theory it is possible for an angel to have their purpose changed. This happens because of a powerful reason and ought not to happen sporadically, as it would act as a handicap upon an angel who is already capable (and seemingly motivated) for their assigned duty. As mentioned above, certain (at least) angels have the ability to become one with concepts. They become a representative of that concept and are the cause behind the effect when bid to a task. These concepts can be anything from the wind, to the vitality of a forest, to unity within a family. These things can be influenced by angels to whatever degree deemed necessary. Sometimes this requires a long term (in our time) commitment to the task, though relatively speaking it is but a moment to an angel suited to the task.
