A
power surge left hundreds of residents of Apache Junction, Arizona,
without power when Ontario scientists attempted to create a new form of
power. The scientists were working on a form of power which would travel
through the air and be channeled into a receiving station at it's
destination. This surge caused power to go out for 1 hour, before it was restored, but not without minor damage. As well as some circuitry being fried, some of the populace had reacted badly to this test. |

On Friday
August 20 and 50 seconds past 3:26 AM, everything went black over at
Apache Junction, Arizona. Most people were sleeping, but those who were
awake, and doing work, noticed. A new energy, and its military properties, was being tested on Apache Junction. When the scientists aimed at their target and turned on the power, nothing happened, so it was assumed the test was a failure.. The scientists decided to take a break but when one accidentally bumped into the equipment the device emptied its capacitors and missed it's target by a few miles, but short circuited homes within a 3 mile radius. Residents, of the affected area, also felt the energy land on top of them and knew this was no regular power outage. Some went as far as running down the street screaming at the top of their lungs. Those particulars are still deeply affected by this event and have been known to burst into tears when the lights go out. When the affected people heard why their power had gone out they stated, "We couldn't believe anyone human or not could have that kind of power," while those who had not witnessed this occurring simple said, "No way! Nobody is that fricken powerful!" All members of the team responsible have been given a trial date, and are not expected to continue these reckless experiments on human life. Investigation has also revealed that the weapons they were working on had not been commissioned by any military or government organization. It was also determined, through interrogation, that they were doing this to neutralize a threat to them. They refused to say more but sources say this energy form would be able to severely maim, if not kill, an adult in the quantities that they used it on Apache Junction. General Rahnir has requested to take in the equipment for his own testing, so that it would be understood what capabilities terrorists would have with this power. "These acts of terrorism are the reason that we must prepare ourselves in mind, body and spirit, so that we may have a firm foothold in life, in the age of these amazing weapons." |
