Guardians Explained

The idea of guardian angels has existed for a long time, but a strong explanation for them has been long in the coming. The major reason is that guardians themselves are difficult to understand at times, and the people who possess them are very unsure of how to explain their relationship with an individual nobody else is aware of.            There isn't a strong definition of a guardian, but there are some common qualities that can be found among them. Those qualities include, but are not limited to, caring for the individual they are with, offering support and help in various struggles throughout one's life, and being there to listen to anything they have to say. All around they can be considered like a best friend who will not judge you, no matter what you tell them.
The different ways a guardian may be relative to the one they care for are the internal, external, and simply tagging along. The internal method is where the guardian shares a body with the individual they care for (known as carrier), external is when they either physically or spiritually exist in another location, ranging from a few kilometers to light years away. Tagging along is simply the guardian is present on a daily basis within the individual's life, with or without their knowledge, and may or may not possess a physical form (but usually the latter).
The form of communication between the individual has so far been found to be telepathic, where the individual need only direct their thoughts to their guardian for them to hear. All three forms of presence for the guardian allow for this link, though not all guardians may communicate for whatever reasons. The current method of communication is known as "concept speech", where thoughts are broken down to their simplest form before being transferred and interpreted. Example being a the thoughts that occur when a baby desires food or a mother, but is unable to think this using a verbal language. This is believed to permit interspecies communication. Communication is not limited by distance, but by the amount of trust and openness between the individual and their guardian.
Current studies have found a majority of internal guardians over external, and there exists suspicion that a good portion of recorded cases of "voices in the head" are simply a guardian coming out of dormancy and the individual reacting badly. The individual who has the guardian within them is called the "carrier". They may have more than one guardian, but a single guardian seems to be more common. With multiple guardians, the individual usually has the strongest bond with the one that came out of dormancy first, but this isn't set in stone. Finally, an interesting option is available for people with internal guardians, called "mind shifting", which allows the guardian to take full control of the body (with permission), and simply experience things physically again. Also, with non-corporeal external guardians, it is possible to merge the guardian and the individual to make them an internal guardian. Both these technologies are either figured out by the individual, or derived from a teacher. Contact the admin of this site for further information.
For an individual to discover they have a guardian is for one to find a great friend who will always understand you, and be able to guide you in the right direction. There have been known cases of mentally unwell guardians, but under those particular circumstances it was determined to be unwellness on the carrier's part, influencing the guardian. Suppression and intentional neglect can be a cause. The guardian and the carrier have deep emotional ties, being able to feel each other's feelings, and being aware of each others state. Privacy isn't usually an issue, as the trust is such, but thinking to oneself will allow as much privacy as you need, unless your thoughts trigger strong emotions, which will be felt by the guardian.
Explaining to people around you about your guardian is quiet difficult, especially if you are a child and trying to tell your parents. Most cases have found that the parents would not understand such a thing, and will send their children to a psychiatrist. To those who believe their parents will understand, it is advisable to be able to backup your case with evidence, and to know how to word all the concepts out so as to not be confused with having an imaginary friend. For this, the link at the bottom of the page is advised.

Guardians are fully sentient and have just as many emotions as anyone else. They should not be abused and their trust should not be taken advantage of. They choose to be responsible for you, and only put up with anything you may do to them because of their care for you. Guardians can come in many forms, from a human, to a cat, to a dragon, to something unimaginable. Their appearance is usually a reflection of the form they possessed in their physical life, or the form they wish to you to view them in.
A guardian is not supposed to threaten the safety of you or others. They are not supposed to make you feel bad, or that you are supposed to do whatever they tell you. If any of these are the case, seek medical help.
